Summer Camp 2019 -

We are pleased that you are interested in Camp Abilities Florida. Summer Camp will be made available to 11 boys and 11 girls. Registration for the summer camp program will open on February 1st at 6pm!! Please fill out the necessary form and submit it before the February 15th deadline. The deadline for all initial forms is February 15th, 2019. Camper spots will be drawn Monday February 18th at 6pm on Facebook Live. Emails will also go out directly following the event. Please note that you WILL need to visit a physician in order to fill out the physician medical forms in the full packet. You may want to go ahead and make this appointment for late February or early March sometime. The full physical forms and full registration packets are due by April 15th, NO EXCEPTIONS.
The cost to attend camp will be $200.00 this year per camper. Camp costs about $900 per camper so we will be hosting a number of fundraising events and looking for sponsors and donors to help cover these costs. Please help in any way possible to bridge these connections. Please make all checks payable to Ability Beyond the Horizon. Any donations can be sent to Ability Beyond the Horizon/ Camp Abilities at 307 Sunrise Circle, Neptune Beach, FL 32266. Non-profit donation information can be provided for tax write-off purposes.
Upon your arrival, campers should be dropped off at The Montgomery Presbyterian Center NO earlier than 1:00PM and no later than 3:00PM on Sunday July 14th. We can not assist you in any way until 1pm due to limited set-up time and the wrap-up of our counselor training. If you come early there are shops, restaurants and historical sites that you can check out in Starke or Keystone Heights, FL. Lunch will not be provided. Directions to the camp will be enclosed in the main registration packet. If any campers are using public transportation please call or email Jennifer Stelmach to arrange transportation from the airport, bus, or train station. Campers should be picked up on July 17th by 4:30 pm. Any return public transportation trips should be scheduled at 5pm -8pm on July 17th. The nearest airport is JAX (Jacksonville International).
Parents and guardians are invited to watch their child in sports day where the campers will choose their favorite activity to showcase. This is a great opportunity for home movies and pictures of your child during camp. Sports day begins at 1PM -4:30PM on Wednesday July 17th with the sports award ceremony beginning at 3:30 PM at the Williams Lodge. Departure from camp will follow at 4:30PM. All campers must be picked up by 4:30PM. We strongly encourage parents to attend this event! The campers are so excited to show off the activities they have learned throughout the week and have you see them get their awards.
